Phased IN Mission Statement:
To provide the unconditional love of a family through a transitional living program that will prepare emancipated youth for independent living and empower them to become productive, responsible, and independent members of their community.
Through committed participation in the lives of foster youth phasing out of care.
1,500 youth "phase out" of the foster care system each year in the state of Texas alone. Half of those young people will be homeless after their 18th birthday. About the same number will enter a life of drug or alcohol addiction. Many of the girls will end up pregnant before their 20th birthday. It has become such an epidemic that the prison systems of America base their future population on the number of youth who "phase out" of foster care.
Phased IN currently has campuses located in Wichita Falls and Arlington, Texas.
The original and visionary Phased IN Wichita Falls campus can house 14 male residents in our campus dormitory. An additional 16 residents may be accepted following the completion of our second campus. This completion will allow us to facilitate the care of female youth that are aging out.
The Phased IN Sunrise campus in Arlington is currently under construction. It will be able to house 10-14 female youth unpon completion.
The Phased IN Genesis Campus may house 4 female residents aged 16-18 in our licensed foster family's residence. Additional families who specifically have hearts to care for teens ages 13-18 are needed. Teens in foster care are the most challenging to place as their are very few foster families currently licensed in the state of Texas that will accept this age group. Many times they end up unneccesarily in treatment centers due to capacity crisis.
Phased In is currently receiving applications for the Wichita Falls campus.
